Session 1 – Central’s Christmas Case Study: 

Join the Central Wesleyan team for a deep dive into the planning process for mid-sized to large churches. In this session, we will talk through Central’s process for developing a Christmas event that draws two to three times higher than their Sunday attendance every year.  


Kathlyn Miller – Kathlyn Miller is an established graphic designer with over 5 years of experience in the church alone. Skilled in many different design programs, she has also led design and marketing at the nation’s leading audiobook publisher, Brilliance Publishing.

Kim Fowler – With over 10 years of service production experience and 5 years of church communications, Kim brings expertise in creative service planning and project management to the Central Team. Kim will share how to build a process that will take your church from idea to event. 

Nate Marialke – With 14 years of experience in the church world, Nate Marialke is the founder of Refuge Music International as well as an ordained minister. He currently serves as the worship pastor at Central Wesleyan Church while also carrying on his ministry at Refuge Music International.

Session 2 – Getting the Word Out & Promoting Christmas in the Digital Age:

Has your invite process depended on paper handouts in the past? You are not alone. These experts will share the marketing and promotion tools you should be learning about now so you can use them at Christmas. 


Kathy Craig – Kathy brought her marketing expertise as a senior manager at Whirlpool to her mid-sized church for the past 10 years. Kathy helped her church use marketing strategies to reach her community and helped her church transition to an outsourcing communications model. She brings decades of marketing and communications expertise to the Kingdom. 

Jessica Berens – Jessica has spent almost 5 years as a digital marketing manager in the church scene. She works with churches ranging in size from 150 on a Sunday to over 3,000, focusing on social media engagement, quality web design, and what’s next in Church communications.


Session 3 – Planning For Christmas & Your Next Steps: 

Staring at a blank piece of paper is hard enough, and when you add uncertainty to the mix, it can be especially hard to figure out what to do. In this conversation, we talk to creatives about themes and the ever-pressing question of what to do if you can’t gather in person.  


Jordan Koller – Jordan has nearly 15 years experience as a worship leader in churches of various sizes, and he is currently serving at The Local Church Grand Rapids. Planted three years ago, The Local Church’s weekly attendance has grown from 75 to over 400 average. Jordan will share techniques for building an excellent experience on a small budget. 

Nathan Chanski – With a background steeped in digital marketing, design, and photography, Nathan does a great job of capturing moments and using them for content creation. On top of this, he serves as a worship leader at Resurrection Life church.
